Web Design & Development

A new look brings new opportunities

In order to maximize the value of this portfolio site, it needed to provide user-friendly and accessible information, filtered content and an easy method to create new, and updating existing posts in WordPress.

The client identified a number of priorities in refreshing the design of the website:

– Present work in a minimal and visually interesting manner

– A unique redesign of the site structure and layout

– Easy way to add new content and articles to the site

Project Deliverables

In the digital age, having an online portfolio to showcase your work is a must. The online portfolio serves as the perfect show-and-tell for all types of professional service providers.

The client wasn’t happy with her current branding, or lack thereof, and requested a refresh of the logo, color palette and typography to better reflect their quirky and unique style.

The idea here was to create a unique homepage layout that would stand out from the crowd. Using full page tiles to categorize the portfolio allows for visitors to easily navigate to the published articles that are most relevant to their interests.

Since the client wanted a unique layout and navigation for the site, I developed a custom theme and used custom post types to simplify the updating and publishing process.
